A series of climate change workshops are being held in a number of forestry regions to promote awareness of future projected climatic trends and issues and opportunities on how the plantation forest industry can best respond.  The seminars will be of direct interest to forest growers, landholders, farmers, planners, researchers and natural resource management professionals.  Topics to be discussed at the free 3 hour seminars include:

• climatic trends and effects on productivity in plantation regions;
• options for industry adaption to a changing climate;
• case studies applying new tools to assess adaption options; and
• factors affecting adoption of adaptation options
